Bluegreen Expands with New Yard at Frier Vest

Bluegreen has entered into an agreement with Asdalstrand 171 AS, a company owned by Dekar Tomteutvikling AS, to lease an area of up to 40,000 square meters on the western side of the Frierfjord in Grenland, known as Frier Vest.

The agreement includes an option to purchase the property and marks a significant step in our growth strategy.

The plan is to establish a specialized yard dedicated to the production of large closed fish farming systems, including our own technology, the Marine Donut. This expansion will significantly increase Bluegreen’s production capacity and strengthen our position in the market for sustainable aquaculture solutions.

We already operate a yard on the eastern side of Frier Vest, on land leased from INEOS. The new facility will supplement our existing operations, at least for the time being.

Frier Vest is being developed as a modern industrial area with a focus on green industry. The area covers 370 hectares and offers direct access to a new, state-of-the-art "smart port" operated by Grenland Havn, providing companies with a strategic connection to global markets.

The site has been developed by Hæhre Entreprenør. Hæhre is one of Norway’s largest players in road and construction development, with 50 years of industry experience, and plays a key role in the development of Frier Vest.

Nils-Johan Tufte, CEO of Bluegreen, is very pleased with the expansion:

“ The expansion at Frier Vest gives us the opportunity to scale up the production of closed containment aquaculture systems, while contributing to the development of a forward-looking industrial area with a strong focus on sustainability. Nils-Johan Tufte

With this expansion, Bluegreen positions itself for further growth and reinforces our role as a leading provider of innovative solutions to the aquaculture industry.
