We weld and install PE/PP process piping, subsea pipelines, and comprehensive piping solutions for process industry, energy centers, carbon capture plants, and other infrastructure.
We weld and install PE/PP process piping, subsea pipelines, and comprehensive piping solutions for process industry, energy centers, carbon capture plants, and other infrastructure.
In many industrial process plants and energy centers, process piping and fittings i PE or PP are necessary. Often, this is because the fluid in the pipe is corrosive, something thermoplastics are highly resistant to. Thermoplastics are also lighter and cheaper than materials like stainless or acid-resistant steel.
Bluegreen specializes in complete piping deliveries of so-called "non-metallic piping" – installing, assembling, and welding process piping in plastics such as PE, HDPE, and PP. Our plastic welders, plastic mechanics and industrial plumbers have worked on the infrastructure of everything from large carbon capture plants, like Heidelberg's CCS facility in Brevik, to smaller energy centers and land-based aquaculture facilities.
We have had great experiences with Bluegreen. They are agile, responsible, solution-oriented, and skilled professionals.

We can also carry out minor design work and can be involved in both entirely new process plants and the remodeling or rehabilitation of existing facilities.
We install and weld process piping, bottom pipelines, and subsea pipelines. The latter is done in collaboration with Dykkerteknikk. Our plastic workshop delivers prefabricated pipe fittings and elements in thermoplastics, as well as manholes in HDPE.
Our well-established network of partners allows us to cover most solutions and needs.
Low weight: Thermoplastic pipes are usually lighter than stainless or acid-resistant steel, making them easier to handle and install.
Corrosion resistance: Thermoplastic materials like PE and PP are highly resistant to corrosion from aggressive chemicals and fluids.
Low cost: Compared to stainless and acid-resistant steel, thermoplastic process piping are often cheaper to purchase and install.
Good chemical resistance: Thermoplastic materials can be resistant to a wide range of chemicals, depending on the material type and specific requirements.
Good insulation: Process pipes in PE and PP have good insulation properties, which can be beneficial for certain applications.
We analyze, develop and design structures and infrastructure in thermoplastics with a focus on sustainable solutions. All work is thoroughly documented according to current standards and customer requirements. We have special expertise in development and documentation of welding procedures.
We have a large, worldwide network of thermoplastic manufacturers. We know what we need and we know where to get it - at the best conditions. For the customer's best in terms of time, quality and costs.
We build parts, fittings and structures in our prefab workshop for easy installation on site. We have a separate production area by the sea for shipping by boat or barge, when this cannot be done on the road.
We have fusion machines and special equipment for efficient and high quality installation on site. We also do fusion projects for other contractors. Some of our equipment is particularly suitable for pipes and sheet structures. Our McElroy fusion machines have additional equipment such as polyhorse for gentle and efficient installation of pipes in the field. These also have data documentation of the welds and are operated by a minimum of personnel due to the high degree of automation.
