Bluegreen has recently delivered eight custom-made PEHD tanks to the Swedish company Undeko AB. The tanks will be used in a fish farming facility in Kälarne, central Sweden.
The project included the production of eight green tanks with a diameter of 4 meters and a height of 1.75 meters. The tanks were manufactured at Bluegreen’s plastic workshop in Bamble, where they were first filled with water for leak testing, then split in two for transport.
Once in Sweden, two Bluegreen employees traveled to the site to handle assembly and final completion on location. The installation took place indoors, and each tank was refilled with water for a final leak test before handover.
“This is a great example of how we combine prefabrication with efficient installation. Everything went according to plan, and the result was solid, watertight, and functional tanks,” says Robin Kvilaas, Production Manager for Bluegreen's Plastics Workshop.
The project involved extruder welding, sheet welding, and mirror/pipe welding — a combination that ensures strong, durable constructions with a long lifespan.
