Aquaculture is an important part of securing healthy food for the world’s increasing population. But the fish farming solutions have to be sustainable. The event "The Blue Food Solution: Aquaculture Technology Showcase" showcases this.
Canadian Aquaculture Industry Association, The Norwegian Embassy in Ottawa and Innovation Norway are hosting the event, which will be held March 9. in Ottawa. This event is an opportunity for innovation in aquaculture to be presented to policymakers in Ottawa in an interactive and memorable way.
"Aquaculture is critically important in providing healthy food for the world’s increasing population. Aquaculture or seafood that is farmed now constitutes 56% of all seafood consumed in the world," says Mark Lane, director of Bluegreen Canada Inc.
"As the industry evolves and the environment we farm in changes, innovative and enhanced environmentally sustainable solutions are paramount to the future of the industry. The event "The Blue Food Solution: Aquaculture Technology Showcase” aims to exhibit emerging technologies, and we are excited to be present with Bluegreen's concept Marine Donut."
