Bluegreen was responsible for the construction of FishGlobe 3.5K, a floating closed aquaculture facility made of PE, with a total weight of 200 tons, a diameter of 22 meters, and a volume of 3500 m³. The facility represents a sustainable and innovative solution for modern fish farming.
FishGlobe is a floating closed aquaculture facility. The structure has a total weight of 200 tons and a diameter of over 22 meters. FishGlobe features unique patented technology that eliminates issues related to sea lice, escapes, and waste materials. It is constructed from 100% recyclable polyethylene and is highly resistant to corrosion.
Uponor Infra acted as the main contractor for the project, delivering all the PE materials. Bluegreen was responsible for the construction of the facility, a delivery that required thousands of welding hours and meticulous documentation of all welding work.
We established a construction site with a tent at the quay near our offices, creating an environment free from wind and rain to ensure high quality.
We also designed the lifting operation for transferring the facility from the quay to the sea, followed by its transportation to Erfjord in Rogaland.
