Bluegreen has supplied piping for Fortum's land-based aquaculture facility, including prefabrication of pipe components, installation of underground pipes, and process pipes in PE. The project contributes to a modern, eco-friendly RAS facility ensuring efficient and sustainable fish production.
Gammelkroppa Lax, owned by Fortum, has been producing stocking fish for Vänern since the 1980s. Approximately 175,000 smolts are released annually. Now, a new, climate-adapted facility is under construction.
Sterner is supplying two RAS systems for the land-based aquaculture facility:
A grow-out section with twenty-two tanks, each six meters in diameter.
A broodstock section containing twelve tanks, each eight meters in diameter.
Bluegreen will supply the piping for the facility, both underground and aboveground.
This includes prefabrication of pipe components at our workshop, ensuring a smooth installation process.
The work is being carried out by a team of four welders and industrial pipefitters.
