Concrete chambers are typically built from stacked rings – and every joint is a potential leak point. In coastal municipalities and areas with high groundwater levels, it’s well known that seawater and groundwater seep into concrete chambers during high tide or heavy rainfall. That spells trouble for both equipment and safety.
A HDPE water chamber, on the other hand, is completely sealed. All pipe penetrations are welded, and the base plate is fully fused. The result? Not a single drop gets in – and you won’t need to send personnel into a chamber filled with knee-deep water.
All Bluegreen chambers are manufactured at our facility in Bamble, using modern equipment and experienced craftsmen. “We typically receive drawings from consultants or contractors and produce according to their specifications – including height, diameter, valve placement, pipe connections, and ground conditions,” explains Kristoffer Rønning.

A common concern is whether HDPE chambers can withstand surface loads, such as when installed under roads. The answer is yes – and it’s been proven. Bluegreen has conducted rigorous tests showing that our chambers handle heavy traffic and are well-protected against uplift.
