With an apprenticeship as a plastic mechanic, an engineering degree from USN and a Master’s in Industrial Economics from UIA, Jonas brings both solid expertise and a deep understanding of Bluegreen – in fact, from as far back as the family dinner table.
“Marine Donut has been part of the dinner conversation at home since 2015, so it’s especially meaningful to now contribute from the inside, as the technology moves from development to commercialization,” says Jonas.
Jonas is the son of CEO and partner Nils-Johan Tufte, but his path to Bluegreen has been guided by personal interest and educational choices. He is now joining the team to help professionalize project routines and systems, working closely with Head of Projects and Administration, Ole Martin Lunde.
“We’re growing from a startup to an industrial-scale company. That means we need the right structure in place – clear project gates, solid routines and shared standards, so that everyone knows what’s needed to deliver,” explains Jonas, who enjoys creating order and improving systems.
Both his bachelor’s and master’s theses were written in collaboration with Bluegreen – the latter together with colleague Matias Pedersen, focusing on developing a risk management framework. Jonas is now helping to put that framework into practice.
“Jonas has always cared about structure and quality and holds a relevant mix of hands-on and academic qualifications,” says CEO Nils-Johan Tufte. “Naturally, I’m proud and pleased that he wants to contribute to the company. His expertise is needed in this important phase of our journey.”
Outside of work, Jonas enjoys motorcycling, boating – and home renovations. He recently bought a 1920s house in Bjørntvedt, Porsgrunn, and is currently digging out the basement to build a rental apartment.
“There’s plenty to do, but I enjoy a good project – also on the home front,” he smiles.
Please join us in welcoming Jonas to the Bluegreen team!
